Attend with Your Lodge
For most Arrowmen, attending NOAC begins with their local lodge. Each lodge organizes its own contingent, coordinates travel and housing, and manages participant registration through the National Order of the Arrow Event Registration System (NOAERS). If you're interested in attending, contact your lodge leadership to learn about your contingent's plans, costs, deadlines, and selection process.

Hundreds of volunteers from across the country serve on the conference staff, helping deliver programs, support participants, operate behind the scenes, and make NOAC possible. Staff members gain a unique perspective on the conference while working alongside talented youth and adult leaders from across the nation.

General
What is NOAC?
The National Order of the Arrow Conference (NOAC) is Scouting America's premier national event for members of the Order of the Arrow. Held every two years, NOAC brings together thousands of Arrowmen from across the country for a week of leadership development, fellowship, service, recreation, and unforgettable experiences.
When and where is NOAC 2027?
NOAC 2027 will be held July 26–31, 2027, at the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Who can attend?
Participants may attend as:
- Youth delegates with their local lodge contingent
- Adult advisers with their local lodge contingent
- Conference staff
- Invited guests, as applicable

When does registration open?
Registration for lodge contingents and conference staff opens October 5, 2026.
How do I register?
Most participants register through their local lodge as part of a lodge contingent.
Conference staff members will complete an individual registration and application process.

Travel & Housing
Where will participants stay?
Participants will stay in university residence halls on the campus of the University of Illinois Urbana-Champaign.
Additional housing information will be released closer to the conference.
How do I get to campus?
Participants may travel by personal vehicle, commercial airline, rail, or organized lodge transportation.
Conference shuttle information and travel resources will be published as they become available.
Will parking be available?
Yes. Additional parking information and campus transportation details will be released during conference planning.
Are the dorms air-conditioned?
Yes. The vast majority of participants will stay in air-conditioned residence halls, with more than 90% of conference beds located in air-conditioned facilities.
Housing assignments and additional residence hall information will be provided closer to the conference.
Health & Safety
Will I need a medical form?
Yes. All participants are required to complete the appropriate Scouting America Annual Health and Medical Record (AHMR) before attending NOAC 2027.
To be valid for the conference, the medical examination must be completed on or after July 1, 2026. Additional information regarding electronic submission procedures and deadlines will be provided prior to registration.
Is Safeguarding Youth Training required?
Yes. All adults attending NOAC 2027 must maintain current Scouting America Safeguarding Youth Training, completed within one year of the conference, and satisfy all other Scouting America membership requirements, including the required criminal background check.
Youth participants and adult leaders are expected to follow all Scouting America policies related to youth protection throughout the conference.
Staff
Can I serve on conference staff?
Yes. Hundreds of youth and adult Arrowmen serve on the NOAC conference staff. Staff registration and application information will be available beginning October 5, 2026.
